Since we will be looking to nominate “Tavsters of the Month”, we will be to introducing you to a few of them as we go along and we are pleased to present you Karyne Tinord.

Karyne Tinord also known as Haitian Barbie K. She is the founder of a small nonprofit based in Brooklyn, NY, Yadestiny Treasure Chest, which was created to offer clothing to children within low-income homes and disaster situations. They take in new and used clothing from donors, clean and if necessary repair the clothes before distributing them. Currently, they are broadening their mission to include the education of children on how to properly maintain a healthy overall appearance, building the self-esteem and confidence of the children. They have partnered with New York Cares and Kids In Distress Situations and are in the works to help children in Third world countries first being Haiti.
